About WildLog

A community field journal for anyone who spends time outside. No accounts, no ads — just check in and log what you see.

Check into anywhere

Parks, lakes, oceans, rivers, forests, wetlands. Auto-locate with your device or drop a pin on the map.

Log native wildlife

Plants, birds, fish, insects, mammals, reptiles, amphibians. Snap a photo and add a note.

Trail map for everyone

Every public sighting appears on an OpenStreetMap trail map so others can discover what's nearby.

Private if you want

Toggle any entry to private — it stays in your log but disappears from the public map & feed.

A note on wildlife ethics

  • • Observe from a respectful distance. Never bait, chase, or handle wild animals.
  • • Stay on marked trails to protect fragile habitats.
  • • Consider blurring exact locations for sensitive species (nests, dens, rare plants).
  • • Leave no trace — pack out everything you bring in.
